Brasov Romania Old Town Dining

Brasov Romania Old Town DiningWhat you see here is a section of sidewalk dining in Brasov, Romania. What you can’t see is just how much sidewalk dining there is in the city. There’s a lot. A whole lot. Personally I like sidewalk dining. I just don’t do it in Europe. The reason why is that I don’t really care for tobacco smoke with my meals or liquid refreshments and there’s no way that you can sit at a sidewalk cafe in Mediterranean or Eastern Europe without having a smoker close enough to you to notice. Will they ever have it where you can eat at a sidewalk cafe without cigarette smoke impacting the quality of the experience? Probably not in Mediterranean or Eastern Europe during my lifetime. The World Health Organiation sees tobacco consumption increasing in the next decade or two. I mean, really, what could be better than sucking cigarette smoke with your meal? That’s a flavor treat. Don’t get me wrong. I respect everyone’s right to smoke or not smoke. I’d just wish they would do the same for me.
