Me at Ngorongoro Crater Africa

This is me with the Ngorongoro Crater behind me. The crater is really big. I think it is close to 100 square miles. I believe that it is the largest volcanic crater I have ever been in. The entry fee for the crater is by the day. We visited for one 24-hour period. The number of animals in the crater is substantial. It seems the crater is one of those perfect places for African animals. There is water and there is lots of grass and trees. This makes for some good living conditions for wild animals. I was told that any lions that wander into the crater have a hard time of trying to take control of a pride because the existing lions in the crater are so physically superior due to the living conditions being so good.
