Pumping Iron In Melaka

The story goes something like this… I’m out riding around a UNESCO World Heritage site on a bicycle and I see a statue. This is no ordinary statue. This is a statue of a body builder. A gold statue, nonetheless. A very big gold statue. It catches my eye. Actually, I couldn’t have missed it if I had been trying. It just sorta jumps out at you. The statue is a promotion for a gym owned by Datuk Wira Gan Boon Leong. I just didn’t ever expect to find such a thing in such a place. I read up on Datuk. He is, apparantly, quite a guy.
