Lunch in Copenhagen
Three good ‘ole boys chowin’ down.
Nyhavn – Copenhagen
The Old Harbour area. Lots of trendy restaurants and coffee shops.
Heading for Stroget
Stroget is a pedestrian shopping area in Copenhagen. It is said to be one of, if not the longest, pedestrian walkway in Europe.
National Museum – Copenhagen
I liked it. I would have liked it a a bunch more if I could have riden my free bike inside.
5 Dollar Whopper
Yes, whoppers really do cost $5 in Copenhagen. They cost even more in Oslo and Stockholm. Stock up on those whoppers now while you have the chance. Significance? There are countries with a higher stand of living than the United States. I’ve been there. I’ve seen them and I can report back that they have a very nice way of life.
Copenhagen City Hall
I like the city hall and especially the big plaza outfront. It’s a great place to go and watch people stoll around.
Tivoli – Copenhagen Fun
Tivoli Gardens is supposedly the oldest amusement park which is still around. Opened in 1843 it’s not Disneyworld. Then again, Disneyworld isn’t Tivoli, either.
Danhostel – Copenhagen Digs
Is this a big hostel or what? Over 1000 beds. Very clean, very modern, Very busy. I stayed there and it cost $40 a night for a bed in a dorm room with 7 other guys. Breakfast was $10, lunch was $15 and supper was $20. Beer was $6. I ate down the street and drank out in front of a 7-11.
Copenhagen Bikes
This is an example of a bike that a person can use for free in Copenhagen. This one, however, is in good shape. The real ones on the street have some issues. Like they work rather funkily.
