One of the guys who walked up Mt. Sinai with me. Chris was a life-saver. He kep on telling "Just another few miles" as he walked with me at the rear of the group walking up the mountain. I believe he was an Aussie or a Kiwi who had just finished his graduate studies and was going to London for a job. I think he said it was going to take him 6 months to get there. Long walk.

One of the coffee shops that are set up to sell stuff to hikers going up Mt Sinai. Everything was 10 Epyptian Pounds – a little less than $2.
Notice how everyone was bundled-up. Quite cool.
Guess who? Guess where?
Yes, I am exalting my environs. How often do I get to do some really cool trekking in a really cool place like the Sinai? Not often enough.
People on top of Mt Sina after sunrise. Notice the blankets. They cost $4 to rent at the top.
Notice all the steps? This is close to the top. Notice all the people? There were hundreds the morning I went up.
It definately was an experience.
Behind me is St Catherines Monestary. It is at the base of Mt. Sinai. These are Moses (of Biblical fame) old stompting grounds. No milk and honey here.
