The data that is provided is in the form of temperature averages per month - maximum, minimum and average temperature. The preciptitation per month is also provided as well as the number of days where the precipitation is measureable. Sunlight hours - hours of sunlight a day - is listed along with the average relative humidity, the average wind speed for the month and the average number of days with frost. The goal of providing this weather data is to assist in deciding where-to-go-when. I'm a fair-weather traveler. I like to look for places to visit at certain times of the year. My goal was to provide myself, and you, with a searchable database to aid vacation planning.
There are several types of searches that can be done.
Click on one of the letters below to bring up a list of cities that start with that letter. You can then click on one to bring up the weather data for that city.
Want to know all of the cities in the database that have temperature ranges between one temperture and another? For instance, you can click [HERE] to bring up a list of all cities that have an average minimum of 65 degrees or more along with an average high of 80 degrees or less. That's pretty good weather for a tourist. Clicking on the search for this option allows a user to put in their own values for low and high averages.
Do you know when you will have some vacation time? Do you know what region of the world you would like to see? Want to know all of the cities in the database that have a lot of rainfall? Or, are you like me and want to know where to go in SE Asia to avoid the monsoons? Maybe you're looking for a little time in the desert. This option allows you t search be precipitation levels. Note: The above two options also allow you to pick a month and one of the following regions: Africa, Asia, Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean, Central America, Europe & Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, Middle East, North America, Pacific Ocean or South America. this will help you narrow down the search for that elusive perfect vacation spot.
