Africa Camp Wash-Up

I had to get this picture in the mix. The two tubs you see here are two of the three tubs that we used to wash dishes. Yes, I took my plate and put it in the tub on the left which had only soap added and washed it. Then I put it in the tub on the right which had soap and sanitizer added to it and washed it again. The third tub contained only water. Everyone washed their own dishes. The point of the picture is to get you to imagine how lucky I am to still be alive after living for two months with such sanitation conditions such as you see here. Sometimes I wanted to do something about them. But, when you are living with twenty or so siblings in one room (the great outdoors), things are not so simple. I’m just glad I’m still alive.
