Coca Museum Cusco Peru

I went to the Coca Museum. Coca is a big deal in Peru. It is legal to buy and they sell it in lots of locations. I went to the market and saw it available by the pound. They sell it at all the tourist sites and I bought a small bag for $1. I tried it. It gave me some energy and made my mouth a little numb. At the hostels and restaurants they serve coca tea. It’s really good. Coca is a national product in Peru. There are many products that are mode from coca. One, of course, is cocaine. This is where the problems with coca cultivation start to take on a whole new meaning. Note that the vast majority of coca users in Peru have absolutely nothing to do with cocaine.
