Fort Santiago

Fort Santiago is also located within Intramuros. It was the original fort of the Spanish and was originally constructed in 1571. The fort has walls that are 22 feet high with a thickness of 8 feet. The fort is located at the mouth of the Pasig River and was the primary Spanish installation in SE Asia for over 300 years.
