Oriental Pearl TV Tower – Shanghai

It’s a very unusual building. It was built in 1994 and was the tallest structure in China until 2007 when the Shanghai World Financial Center was finished. The tower stands about 1,500 feet high and is one of the highest towers in the world. It is supposed to attract over 3 million visitors a year. The tower has 15 observation levels and has a revolving restaurant that is at close to the 900 foot level.
