Boat with Helicopter – Bonaire

This boat that caught my eye at the harbor. Notice the helicopter on the back of the yacht. It gives new meaning to going ashore. No, the boat is not not only not mine, but doesn’t belong to anyone who I might be likely to know now or in the future.

This is of a truck carrying a bunch of diving stuff, including air tanks for people heading to the beach. You saw people diving all over the island.

Bonaire Donkeys

A pic of several wild donkeys which were grazing in the north part of the island. It seems there are hundreds of the animals all over the island and the people have a love/hate relationship with them. One one hand they are soooo cute and such a tourist attraction. On the other, they eat what locals produce agriculturally and have been cited as the leading cause of vehicle fatalities on the island. Apparantly, they roam the roads at night. What! Can’t they read????

Cruzzin Bonaire

This is a rouge biker hanging out at the beach. Actually, I wanted to get a softail but they were all booked. I settled for the shadow which needed a tune-up. It made little difference. The roads outside of town weren’t really wide enough for two cars so everytime people came upon each other from different directions they had to slow down to a crawl and go partially onto the shoulder to pass each other. Also, I kept looking for the dreaded donkeys…

Bonaire – Parachute Surfing

This pic is of a point on the island where people go to parachute surf. It looked really cool. Lessons were available and, if I had a few days, and a few bucks, I would be taking lessons right now!
