I liked Dahab. A lot. You could live there for about $10 a day. You couldn’t do a whole lot on $10, but you certainly wouldn’t go hungry and you certainly wouldn’t lack for a place to stay. And no, $10 doesn’t include lunch everyday at the Palm Beach.

Saudia Arabia is in the background. How cool was Dahab? Very, very, very cool. I think a person could go there and easily live for $10-20 a day. I met kid from Canada who said he got a mattress on the floor of a hut for $1 a day and got a bowl of koshary for another $1 a day and was living on $2 a day because he ran out of money and wouldn’t be getting any for another week. I’m glad I wasn’t him. I was glad I was me and I was glad I was in Dahab.
