The New York thruway is a toll road that runs from NYC to Buffalo. Part of it connects with the Massachuetts turnpike another toll road, which is whre I got on.

Europe 2005 NYC Times Square
I’ve always been fascinated by this corner in NYC. It has the TKTS booth where a person can get half-price tickets for many Broadway plays. I’ve taken advantage of the TKRS boot many times when I was in New York. It’s also a great place to hang out and watch people who come to New York. It’s also a great place to watch the locals. 10/2005

Europe 2005 NYC Broadway
It’s Broadway in NYC. It’s a street that’s been acclaimed and disparaged. Some look at it as a caricature of New York City. Some people say it’s a noble representation of the city and others see it as a cesspool. But however a single individual views it, the identity of the street is so much more. It runs for almost 14 miles from one end of Manhattan to the other past City Hall, NYU and Washington Square, Union Square, Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building, Macy’s, Times Square, Duffy Square, Columbus Circle, Central Park, Lincoln Center, Columbia University and The Cloisters. Now, I’d call that a street. 10/2005

It was the one place I had to go visit in NYC. The events of 911 have taken on such a significance world-wide in so many ways. I have no idea how many visitors come to NYC every year, but I’m sure the number is in the millions. Of that number, I wonder how many forego visiting this site? 10/2005
