Terminal Fee

What really bugged me about the 600 peso ($12) terminal fee for everyone who left the Philippines on an international flight wasn’t the 600 pesos themselves, it was the really, really bad exchange rate the government gave me for the dollars that I used to pay it. I showed up at the terminal not realizing there was an exit fee and when I paid it in dollars I paid an extra 10% just in the lousy exchange rate they gave me. After that I regretted that the U.S. ever bought the Philippines in the first place.
