Road Trip 2013 – Sequoia National Park

General Sherman TreeThis is a tree. Okay, it’s not just any tree. This tree is in the Sequoia National Park and according to Wikipedia the “park is famous for its giant sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, one of the largest trees on Earth. The General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest, which contains five out of the ten largest trees in the world.” This picture is of the General Sherman. It’s supposed to be the largest living thing in the world. Or close, anyway. That impresses me. Will I get to see it this summer? I hope so. Then again, all I have to do is to put it on my “must see” list. As long as this list doesn’t get so large that I’m not able to see anything, what’s the problem? Nothing, actually. It’s just that I’ve spent months of my life in California and I’ve never seen this tree before. That means that I’ve never considered it important enough to see. I think I need to see this tree this summer. I think I need to see a lot of trees this summer. It would probably be good for me.
