My Favorite Loop

Tom’s Back Yard

Me and TomTom's BackyardOkay, I admit it. It’s not much of a yard in terms of grass. But, it’s a great place to hang out and that’s what Tom wanted to do – hang out with all of his friends. Tom’s gone. But, his legacy lives on in his backyard where we all like to gather. Sometimes, I just go out and sit and listen to the fountain. Sometimes I lay in the hammock. Other times I go out and rake leaves or sweep. It’s a good place to park my bicycle. There’s lots of vegetation to help me feel at ease. There’s a grill if I want to cook. There are lights if I want to go out at night. I can turn them off if I want to sit in the dark. Almost 50 years later, He’s still with me in spirit. Our friend John, who lives there now, left the house like he had it. It’s still one of the nicest backyards I know.
