It’s not my best picture of a Der Wienerschintzel. I’m sure I could have scoured the web and found a better one. But, this one is mine. Why Der Wienerschintzel? It’s because, somewhere in the crevices of my mind I have a fond memory of a Der Wienerschintzel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We never had one in my hometown, but there was one in Tulsa. Today, I’m not sure if there is a Der Wienerschintzel anywhere in Oklahoma (there’s not). Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t scoured the state looking for one and if I did I doubt I would eat there very often. But I did see one in Las Cruces, NM. I did get a Chicago Dog there and I did want to reflect a little on a memory.
