The minute I saw it I knew it was something special. There are a lot of steps going up the entrance. But, it was after climbing to the next level that it gets really good. There’s a really nice little plaza. Go up another level and you’ve got some rally great views of the city. Cagliari was once a very fortified city. It goes way back to pre-Roman times. They’ve been building fortresses on this location for at least a couple of millennium. There’s no telling how long people have been on Sardinia but current thought is about 7,000 years. I liked to castle district. It was the area that was built for fortifications of the city. It took me to the highest part of the town.
